According to this news report, it is business as usual for the politicians in the times of election. I would not know how to react to this piece of news. I would rather believe if it said that they get to work only when the elections are around corner. No policy decisions are to be made that influence the vote bank. Pretty much obvious. They make decisions that influence the voters to vote for them not against them. Such policies get the green light as quickly as possible if the ruling party manages to convince the opposition.
Such is the game of politics.
